I would like to express my gratitude for another successful Khmer New Year
party. I am very touched and proud of your efforts and for sacrificing your
time to travel from long distances to join us in making the day very special
by helping with the food, music entertainment, traditional dances, popular dances,
all helpers for: stage assistance, cater traditional food, the photographers
and the decorations team’s work dedicated by Khmer student association.
It would not have been such a wonderful occasion without your participation.
This is especially appreciated in these times of economic difficulties, and
it continues to ensure that the Khmer culture is kept alive and that the community
stays focused and together.
I strongly hope that we as a community will continue to progress in this vein
for the mutual benefit of all in the UK thereby ensuring a positive image of

|Chhnam Khaal - year of the Tiger - BE 2554
The actual date for the Cambodian New Year is the 13th of April. By ancient
tradition, the celebration would last for three days. The first day is the
beginning of the celebration, the second is the Middle Day (Blind Date)
and the third one is the Day when the name of the New Year i.e. year of
the Tiger effectively starts.
