I would like to express my gratitude for another successful Khmer New Year 2012 Celebration. I am very touched and proud of your efforts for sacrificing your time to travel from long distances to join us in making the day very special and truly memorable. I am particularly indebted to those members who contributed to the religious ceremony, the food and catering, the music entertainment, the traditional dances, the popular Comedy show, the photographers and the dedicated decorating team and the Students Association . We started by Religious ceremony leaded by Mr Tan Nam and Khmer National Anthem
and National song Pong SAVADA, with all sung together. Special guests took part this year: our compatriots from Toulouse, Paris,(France), America, Cambodia , the Community in Kent, and all around the UK, the Chairman of VLC Centre, the President of LAUK Society. This is especially appreciated in these times of economic difficulties, and it continues to ensure that the Khmer culture is kept alive and that the community stays focused and closely bonded. I strongly hope that we as a community will continue to progress in this vein for the mutual benefit of all in the UK thereby ensuring a positive image of Cambodia internationally. Please note: the summer outing (BBQ-Picnic) planned on Sunday the 3rd of June 2012, is cancelled. Yours sincerely, PS:
