Annual General Report
September 2022 - October 2023
Activities:
PCHOUM BEN Ceremony on Saturday 24th September 2022 at Amaravati
Buddhist Monastery. Funds raised during Bang Skaul Ceremony were donated directly
to the temple at the end of the Ceremony. Followed by religious ceremony leaded
by Ajahn Amaro (Abbot) a special prayer followed by Mrs Rina Tann and all community
members.
Due to COVID Restrictions, there were 45 attenders of our community’s
members allowed and an attendance of H.E. Kan Paridh, Ambassador to the UK and
spouse including two personnel from the Royal Embassy of Cambodia.
Winter gathering Party Saturday 10th December 2022 at the VLC
Community Centre from 6pm-11pm. The party was dedicated for all Cambodian students,
in the UK, the community members, led by Mr Dara Than.
CAMBODIAN NEW YEAR Celebration on Saturday 15th April 2023:
- Ceremony opening and greeting speech by Mrs Sobopha Owen
- Introduction attendance of the head of monk, Ajahn Bodipala from Amaravati.
- Greeting Speech by HE Kan Paridh Ambassador, to the community members and
guests invited.
- The Buddhist Ceremony Chanting blessing leaded by 5 monks , requesting the
Five Precepts and Bang Skaul, with assistance of Mrs Rina Tann
- The community’s members and guests in the UK and from Abroad.
- Funds raised from Bang Skaull were donated to Amamravati directly at the
end of Ceremony
- Gifts Monks packs donated by HE Kan Paridh Ambassador of the Royal Embassy
of Cambodia to the UK,
- Gifts Monks packs ftom Casunik, and community’s members.
- Alms food offering to Monks and buffet lunch to the guests and the community.
- Live Dancing Music leaded by 3 musicians from France: Mr Mrs Sam Bernard,
Mr Samley Hong.
- DJ directed by Mr Sorel Nou, operated by Mr Dennis Radsky-Fisher until 10.30pm.
- Raffles tickets sales leaded by Ms Monica M Chap, Mr Dara Than, Mr Sinang
Chrea and two students assistants. We had a successful enjoyable raffles draw
with a full house of guests on our New YEAR Celebration 2023. .

We are honoured by good numbers of guests, including:
- Seniors Monks from Amaravati Buddhist Monastery.
- The Royal Embassy of Cambodia to the UK, all staff members
- Community members with young children travelled far from different places
in the UK.
- Special attendance this year by our friends of the community Mr Vicko Ouk,
who has kindly coordinated the trip successfully for the Musicians from France
to the UK on the special big Celebration for year 2023. We are touched and
thankful to all new and existing members, Young families with young children
travelled from far distances to support our Traditional National day. We had
a fantastic New year celebration.
