Miss Denise Heywood (Journalist/Writer) visited Phnom Penh in March 2009 for the Launch of her book entitled Cambodian Dance - Celebration of the Gods. Denise gave a talk at the monument books and presented a copy of her book to his Majesty the King Norodom Sihamoni.

Subsequently and tragically, Mrs Em Theay who is the Royal Classical Ballet teacher and whose life story is written in the Celebration of the Gods, and whom Denise regarded as an "inspiring lady" to the Khmer Dance Culture had her house completely burned down and all her possessions destroyed.
